The Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM) convened at 91视频专区 College on June 12 for its first ever summit to bring the brewing industry together to discuss and share ideas.

Kevin Atticks, executive director of BAM, said that the brewing industry has grown exponentially in the last five or six years, and this summit was about the educational side of the industry.

Attendees went to sessions in one of two tracks: the brewing and fermentation track and the brand quality track. The brewing and fermentation track was about the process and ingredients involved in brewing. The brand quality track tackled the marketing side of brewing, including trademarks and building a brand. Speakers came from several states across the country.

鈥淔rederick is a hotbed of brewing in Maryland, with the highest concentration of breweries in the state,鈥 said Jim Bauckman, the summit organizer. 鈥淭his summit allows members to discuss ideas including process, ingredients and brand with other people in the brewing industry.鈥

The Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM), founded in 1996, is the non-profit trade association of Maryland brewing companies. The mission of BAM is to grow, promote and protect the Maryland craft beer industry.
