Opportunities in Space Economy
Explore the rapidly growing space industry and its economic implications, including the commercialization of space, financial models driving space technology, and the roles of organizations like NASA, the Department of Defense and SpaceX. Students will learn about business development, financial instruments, economic tools, ESG investing, and the societal impact of space advancements. The course includes guest speakers from the private sector and government agencies, and participants will create investment strategies as a final group project.
 
About George Pullen, M.Sc., ERP, IIF, SCR
Pullen, the Chief Economist of Milky Way Economy, a fifth industrial revolution think tank and boutique consultancy based in Washington, DC, has been a professor, instructor, and guest lecturer at various colleges for the past decade. He is also the author, co-author, or contributor to eight books covering topics in finance, tech investing, alternative markets, and the space industry. He has been an investor or advisor to over 50 startups and multiple incubators.

 
Leadership Skills for Entrpreneurship
In this boot camp, students learn about the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and leadership skills, such as decision-making, communication and teamwork. Dean Mahesh Joshi uses many hands-on exercises in the classroom and invites many guest lecturers to provide a vast opportunity to learn and build a network for a high school student. 
 
About Mahesh Joshi, Ph.D. 
Joshi, the inaugural Dean of the Delaplaine School of Business, has been involved in organizing High School boot camps since 2011. Dr. Joshi has been involved with 10 different startups, and presently, he has launched a "patented" (patent was granted by USPTO in 2019) corporate training platform that uses gamification to ensure that the training is playful and engaging and helps the participants learn. Dr. Joshi has won several teaching and research awards. His research is focused on entrepreneurship and strategy management, and he has published his research articles in many top-tier business & management journals. Before joining 91视频专区 College, Prof. Joshi was at Goerge Mason University for more than 20 years and was the founding director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
