Institutional Learning Outcomes

Institutional Learning Outcomes describe what students will know and do as a result of graduating from 91视频专区 College.

They ensure achievement of the 91视频专区 College Mission while guiding the student learning outcomes of the Core Curriculum and various degree programs. The Institutional Learning Outcomes have been created at the undergraduate and graduate levels:

Undergraduate students will:

1. Communication

Communicate effectively for various contexts, purposes, and audiences.

2. Information Literacy

Appropriately identify, evaluate, and synthesize information.

3. Quantitative Reasoning

Interpret data in various numerical and technological forms.

4. Critical Reasoning

Evaluate multiple perspectives before accepting a conclusion.

5. Social Responsibility, Values, and Ethics

Apply knowledge and skills of complex social issues while using ethical decision-making and values to benefit individuals, communities, and the world.

6. Holistic Wellness

Assess own habits in relation to best practices for achieving health and wellness while applying solutions to personally relevant challenges.

7. Diversity

Respectfully interact with diverse others while recognizing how cultural practices, institutions, and ideologies contribute to hierarchies and inequalities.

8. Global Awareness

Engage with complex global systems by analyzing practices and institutions across global communities.

Graduate students will:

1. Communication

Communicate clearly and effectively in oral, written, and/or visual formats, consistent with the standards of their discipline.

2. Research

Identify and explore relevant questions and/or problems by accessing, evaluating, applying, and/or conducting research using discipline-specific strategies.

3. Critical Reasoning

Approach content and tasks with a critical awareness, framed by knowledge and skills appropriate to their discipline.

4. Problem Solving

Apply advanced disciplinary content knowledge and strategies to understand and address problems and questions relevant to their discipline and to which they have not previously been introduced.

5. Diversity

Recognize and engage diverse ideas, perspectives, and/or traditions that inform their discipline, profession, and graduate experience.

6. Professionalism

Engage in legal, ethical, and professional behaviors consistent with their discipline, including leadership, teamwork, and/or other responsibilities to key stakeholders.
